Tuna Pasta Bake
- 500 grams macaroni pasta
- 700 grams bottle tomato sauce
- 410 grams can diced tomato
- 410 grams can tuna chunks in oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 onion
- 1 cup shredded tasty cheese
- In a pot fry chopped onion and garlic.
- Add tomato sauce and can of diced tomato, add salt.
- Simmer on low heat for about 30-45 minutes untill sauce thickens, stirring occasionally.
- Add tuna to sauce, make sure to break tuna in small pieces, cook for 10 more minutes.
- Place pasta in boiling pot of water, cook for 10 minutes so pasta is slightly softened and not cooked throughout.
- In large oven proof casserole dish, place pasta and mix through the tuna sauce thoroughly.Cover dish with foil and bake in 350F oven for 20 minutes.
- Take foil off dish sprinkle with tasty cheese and bake further 5-10 minutes till cheese is melted and golden in colour.
- Let it rest out of oven for 10 minutes before serving so pasta dish sets.
