California-Style Grilled Cheese
- 1 whole Ripe Avocado, Peeled, Pitted And Mashed
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
- 1/2 Tablespoons Butter
- 4 slices California Style Multigrain Bread
- 1 Tablespoon Mayonnaise
- 1 whole Medium Tomato, Sliced
- 1/4 cups Pepper Jack Cheese, Shredded
- Season avocado with salt and pepper to taste.
- Set aside.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread and place them butter side down in a large skillet.
- Spread mayonnaise on the top side of each piece of bread.
- This will make the grilled cheese nice and creamy.
- Add the avocado, tomato slices and pepper jack cheese on two slices of bread.
- Fold the sandwiches together and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side.
- If they are getting brown and the cheese has not melted turn the heat down or cover the pan.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
