Old Fashioned

• 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
• 2 dashes bitters, such as Angostura
• 1 strip orange zest
• 2 ounces whiskey
• 1 brandied cherry, optional
• Orange Swirl Ice Cubes (See Cook's Note)

1. Muddle together the sugar, bitters and orange zest in the bottom of an old fashioned glass.
2. Pour over the whiskey and add the cherry, if using.
3. Top with some Orange Swirl Ice Cubes.
