Cheesy Baked Asparagus

  1. Heat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Melt butter in medium saucepan on medium heat.
  3. Add onions; cook and stir 3 to 5 min.
  4. or until crisp-tender.
  5. Whisk in flour; cook 2 min.
  6. Gradually whisk in milk until blended; cook on medium heat 3 to 5 min.
  7. or until thickened, stirring constantly.
  8. Add cheese; cook 1 min.
  9. or until melted, stirring constantly.
  10. Add asparagus; mix lightly.
  11. Spoon into 1-1/2 qt.
  12. casserole.
  13. Bake 15 min.
  14. or until heated through and lightly browned.
