Chocolate Meringue Pie

  1. Combine all ingredients except vanilla.
  2. Stir continously over medium heat until thick.
  3. Remove from heat and add vanilla; stir.
  4. Place in cooked pie shell.
  5. Add meringue being sure to spread to touch edge of pie shell.
  6. Place in oven at 400 degrees (200 C.) until top is desired browness.
  7. Beat egg whites at high speed until desired stiffness.
  8. Add sugar; mix until blended.
