Meat Loaf With A New Taste Recipe
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1 tbsp. grated onion pulp & juice
- 1 teaspoon salt & pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1 c. soft bread crumbs (crusts removed)
- 1 pound grnd beef chuck
- 4 hard cooked Large eggs
- Beat egg lightly; mix with lowfat milk, onion, salt, pepper, Worcestershire, mustard and crumbs.
- Allow to stand about 5 min.
- Fold in beef.
- Pack half of meat mix into loaf-sized buttered baking dish (about 8 x 4 x 3 inch).
- Arrange the 4 hard cooked Large eggs (whole) lengthwise over meat in zigzag fashion; pack in remaining meat mix.
- Bake in moderate oven 50 to 60 min.
- Allow to stand for about 5 min.
- Turn out and slice.
- Serves 4 to 6.
