Fresh Summer Fruit in Ginger-Wine Syrup

  1. Combine wine, 1 1/2 cups water, sugar, and ginger in medium saucepan.
  2. Simmer over medium heat until reduced to 2 cups, about 16 minutes.
  3. Cool.
  4. Refrigerate until cold, about 1 hour.
  5. Remove and discard ginger.
  6. Place fruit in large bowl.
  7. Add syrup; toss to coat.
  8. Cover; chill at least 2 hours and up to 4 hours before serving.
