Southern squash

• 8 medium sized yellow crooknecked squash sliced into medallions
• 3 tbsp bacon fat
• 1 salt to taste
• 1 medium onion sliced
• 4 slice of hogs cheek bacon
• 1 black pepper powder to taste

1. put it all in the pan on high stir as needed
2. cook until tender and dark carmalization is apparent
