Sausage Stuffed Acorn Squash Recipe
- 3 acorn squash
- Melted buter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/4 pound sausage
- 1/2 c. minced celery
- 1/3 c. minced onion
- 3/4 pound grnd meat
- Buttered bread crumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- Preheat oven to 400.
- Cut squash in half, and remove the seeds.
- Brush with butter and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake the squash with cut sides down for 45 min.
- While squash is baking, brown the beef, sausage, onion and celery in skillet.
- Add in soup and cook till heated.
- Remove squash from oven and fill with meat mix.
- Cover with the bread crumbs.
- Sprinkle the tops with sugar.
- Bake 20 min.
- Remove from oven and serve.
