Cheesy Garlic Biscuits
- 2 c. plain flour
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. dried parsley
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tarter
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. Jane's Krazy Mixed-Up salt
- 1/3 c. Crisco
- 8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 2/3 to 1 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- Mix together the dry ingredients.
- Cut in Crisco until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add cheese.
- Make a well in the center; add milk.
- Stir just until dough clings together.
- Knead gently on a lightly floured surface for 10 to 12 strokes.
- Roll or pat into 1/2-inch thickness.
- Cut into biscuits and transfer to an ungreased baking sheet.
- Top with mixture of 3 tablespoons melted butter, 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese and 1 teaspoon powdered garlic.
- Brush over tops of biscuits and bake at 450u0b0 for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
