Bing Crosby Recipe
- 2 c. Flour
- 1 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 6 Tbsp. (level) shortening
- 1 x Egg yolk, beaten
- 2/3 c. Lowfat milk
- 2 Tbsp. Butter
- 3/4 c. Minced onion
- 2 Tbsp. Flour
- 1 can Corned beef
- 1 1/2 c. Canned tomatoes
- 1 dsh Pepper
- 1 dsh Salt
- Dough: Sift dry ingredients.
- Add in shortening & mix thoroughly.
- Add in egg to lowfat milk & add in to dry mix to make a soft dough.
- Divide dough into 2 pcs.
- Roll out 1/8-inch thick & cut into 6 quarters.
- Fit into muffin tins.
- Fill with corned beef mix & fold edges of pastry over to center.
- Moisted edges with water to make them stick together.
- Bake 20 min at 375 or possibly till browned.
- Filling: Heat butter in heavy skillet.
- Add in onions & cook slowly till soft.
- Add in flour.
- Stir.
- Add in remaining ingredients.
- Bring to boil & stir till thick.
