Beef And Mushrooms
- 2 lb. sirloin steak
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 Tbsp. instant onion or 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 c. low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms (undrained)
- 2 tsp. instant bouillon or 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 2 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 tsp. or less salt
- dash of pepper
- 1/4 c. cornstarch
- Cut sirloin steak into strips.
- Brown strips in oil.
- Add onion and garlic powder and cook until onion is tender.
- Add soy sauce, beef bouillon, mushrooms and 2 cups of water.
- Cover and simmer until meat is tender (approximately 40 minutes).
- Combine remaining water and cornstarch.
- Add to meat mixture and stir until thickened.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
- Serves 4 to 6.
