Princess's apple pie Recipe tdiprincess
- 2 9" Pie crusts (go thicker for a nice flakey crust)
- 9 to 10 apples- peel and slice thinly
- juice of 1 orange, 1 lime and 1/2 of lemon
- sm. amount of fresh ginger (press into paste) or 2 tsp. ground ginger
- 2 tsp. dried mint
- 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- sprinkling of salt (optional)
- Make the pie crusts.
- Use cold butter, cold water and refrigerate the crusts for at least 1 hour.
- After rolling out the crusts refrigerate them again- this helps for baking the crusts right.
- Slice and peel all the apples into a bowl and add the juices and spices before the sugar.
- Add the above said amount of sugar and then taste it, if you would to add more then go ahead!

- Lay the bottom pie crust in the pie pan, add the apples, cover with the top crust.
- Cutt of the excess and pinch the edges together.
- Go ahead and cut out some pretty designs on the top crust to let the pie vent.
- It is optional to put the pie back in the fridge until the oven is preheated to 400 F. Bake the pie for 30-45 mins.
