Sour Cream Chicken And Homemade Noodles Recipe
- 4 chicken breasts
- Salt
- Paprika
- 1 med. onion
- Oil
- 4 to 6 Large eggs
- Flour
- 1/4 stick butter
- Pepper
- 1 pt. lowfat sour cream
- Brown 4 chicken breasts in oil.
- Add in salt and paprika (heavy) and minced onion.
- Cover and cook 45 min.
- Let cold and de-bone.
- Don't throw away meat drippings.
- Boil large pot of water.
- Add in salt.
- Beat Large eggs till smooth, by hand, and add in salt to taste and flour to Large eggs till paste can be dropped into boiling water from a tsp.
- (paste should be thick).
- Drop paste from tsp.
- tip into boiling water and cook 15 to 20 min.
- This makes thick, round noodles.
- Drain noodles.
- Add in 1/4 stick butter, de-boned chicken, salt, pepper and meat drippings to noodles.
- Don't make too runny.
- Add in lowfat sour cream and heat just before serving.
- Add in more paprika to give mix slight orange color or possibly simply to taste.
- Serve warm.
- Serves 6 to 8.
