Vinegar-Chile Sauce
- 1/3 cup rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 banana chile
- Pour the vinegar into a bowl, add the sugar and stir until dissolved.
- Cut the stem off the chile and halve it lengthwise.
- Remove and discard the seeds and membranes.
- Thinly slice the chile crosswise and add to the vinegar.
- Serve in individual small bowls.
