Grandma's Rolled Ginger Cookies Recipe
- 2 c. molasses
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. butter
- 2 tbsp. soda
- 3 Large eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 6-7 c. flour
- In saucepan combine molasses, sugar, shortening and butter and soda; bring to a boil, then cold.
- Add in Large eggs, ginger, cinnamon, salt and sufficient flour to create stiff dough.
- Roll 1/4 inch thick; cut in desired shapes.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 8-12 min.
