Chocolate Chip Toffee Cookies
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons all.purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/3 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 8 tbsp unsalted butter, softened, ( 1 stick )
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 4 1.4 ounce heath bar chocolate toffee bars. chopped into chunks
- Preheat oven to 375.
- Line baking sheets with parchment paper
- Combine flour, baking soda and salt in medium bowl, whisk to blend.
- Set aside
- In a large bowl combine butter and both sugars, beat until light and fluffy about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Stir in flour mixture just until combined add chocolate Chips and heath chunks mix in evenly.
- Drop.in tablespoon mounds, 2 inches apart on parchment lined baking sheets.
- Press dough very lightly to flatten just a bit.
- Bake for about 9 minutes until light golden.
- Cool 5 minutes on cookie sheet then transfer to wire rack to cool compleatly
- Makes about 24 to 28 cookies
