Chocolate Torte

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Place chocolate and butter in medium saucepan; cook on medium-low heat until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring frequently.
  3. Cool completely.
  4. Beat eggs and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until thickened and lemon colored.
  5. Add chocolate mixture; mix well.
  6. Sift flour over chocolate mixture; stir gently until well blended.
  7. Pour into greased and floured 8-inch square or round baking pan.
  8. Bake 35 min.
  9. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  10. Cool 5 min.
  11. ; invert onto serving platter.
  12. Cool completely.
  13. Cut into 9 pieces to serve.
  14. Top each serving with 2 Tbsp.
  15. of the whipped topping and 1/3 cup of the berries.
