Salted Nut Bars
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup Land O Lakes Butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1 (6-ounce) package (1 cup) butterscotch-flavored chips
- 2 tablespoons Land O Lakes Butter
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 (11.5-ounce) can ( 1 1/2 cups) mixed nuts
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Line 13x9-inch baking pan with aluminum foil, extending foil over ends.
- Spray foil with no-stick cooking spray; set aside.
- Combine all crust ingredients in bowl.
- Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press crumb mixture into prepared pan.
- Bake 10 minutes.
- Place all topping ingredients except mixed nuts in 2-quart saucepan.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, 5-7 minutes or until chips are melted and mixture is smooth.
- Stir in nuts until well coated.
- Spread mixture over hot, partially baked crust.
- Continue baking 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool completely.
- Lift bars out of pan using foil ends; cut into bars.
