Peppermint Candy Recipe

• 2 c. sugar
• 3/4 c. boiling water
• 1 tbsp. butter
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 tbsp. vinegar
• 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract

1. Stir together all the ingredients, except extract.
2. Boil till it reaches 300 degrees F. on candy thermometer or possibly when it cracks in cool water.
3. Pour into a buttered cookie sheet, cut into squares.
