Chocolate Chip Pecan Supremes

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
  2. In a medium bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Mix well with wire whisk.
  4. Set aside.
  5. In a large bowl blend brown and white sugars with an electric mixer at medium speed.
  6. Add butter and mix to form a grainy paste, scraping down the sides of the bowl.
  7. Add eggs and vanilla.
  8. Beat at medium speed until light and fluffy.
  9. Add the flour mixture, pecans, and chocolate chips, and blend at low speed until just combined.
  10. DO NOT OVERMIX!
  11. Drop by rounded Tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets, 1 1/2 inches apart.
  12. Bake for 20 to 22 minutes.
  13. Immediately transfer cookies with a spatula to a cool flat surface.
