Banana Bread for Vegans

  1. Preheat oven 350F
  2. Grease a 9" pan.
  3. In a bowl, combine flour, soda, and the spices.
  4. In a separate cup, combine the flax seed with hot water and let sit about 1 minute.
  5. To the flour mixture, add softened or melted margarine and agave nectar.
  6. Stir.
  7. Add in mashed banana with the egg replacer/flax mix and blend well.
  8. When everything is blended, stir in the chocolate.
  9. Pour batter into the pan.
  10. Bake in preheated oven for 60-65 minutes or when the toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Cool bread for 10 minutes before serving.
