Canadian Grilled BLT
- 1 large red onion, cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices
- 3 Tbsp. Bull's-Eye Guinness Draught Beer Blend Barbecue Sauce, divided
- 1/2 lb. (225 g) peameal bacon, cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices
- 1/4 cup Miracle Whip made with Olive Oil Spread*
- 6 ciabatta sandwich buns, split
- 6 Boston lettuce leaves
- 6 Cracker Barrel Medium Cheddar Cheese Slices
- 2 tomatoes, each cut into 6 slices
- Place greased grill pan on barbecue grate.
- Heat barbecue to medium-high heat.
- Meanwhile, microwave onions in covered microwaveable bowl on HIGH 10 min., stirring after 5 min.
- ; drain, reserving onions in bowl.
- Add 2 Tbsp.
- barbecue sauce to onions; mix well.
- Microwave, uncovered, on HIGH 6 to 8 min.
- or until onions are softened.
- Spread onions onto hot grill pan; grill 10 to 12 min.
- or until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from barbecue; set aside.
- Spray both sides of bacon slices with cooking spray; grill 2 min.
- on each side or until done.
- Mix Miracle Whip and remaining barbecue sauce.
- Fill buns with lettuce, bacon, cheese, tomatoes, onions and Miracle Whip mixture.
