Ham and Tomato Welsh Rarebit
- 50g butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/3 cup beer
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 2 cups grated KRAFT Light Cheese
- 8 slices wholemeal sourdough breadstick, toasted on one side
- 8 slices ham
- 2-3 tomatoes, sliced Safeway 1 lb For $1.29 thru 02/09
- MELT the butter in a non-stick saucepan then add the flour and cook, stirring, for one minute.
- Stir in the beer, mustard and cheese and cook over a low heat until smooth, taking care not to let the mixture boil.
- PLACE the bread untoasted side up on a baking tray.
- Top each slice with ham and tomato then spoon over the cheese mixture.
- COOK under a hot grill for 2 minutes until golden and bubbling.
- Serve immediately
