Shrimp-Cargot
- 48 each uncooked large shrimp, peeled, deveined (31 to 35 ct.), tails off Safeway 1 lb For $8.99 thru 02/09
- Philadelphia Light Brick Cream Cheese Spread
- 2 cups half-and-half
- 1/2 cup dried and minced garlic
- 1/2 cup curly parsley, coarsely chopped
- 1 cup dry bread crumbs
- For 2 servings: Place 6 shrimp in single layer in ovenproof crock.
- Broil 3 min.
- or until shrimp turn pink, turning once.
- Meanwhile, microwave 2 oz.
- (60 g) cream cheese, 1/4 cup (50 mL) half-and-half and 1 Tbsp.
- (15 mL) garlic in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 min.
- or until hot and bubbly, stirring as needed.
- Stir in 1 Tbsp.
- (15 mL) parsley.
- Pour over shrimp; toss to evenly coat.
- Top with 1/4 cup (50 mL) bread crumbs; broil until golden brown.
