Wheat Pecan Pie Recipe
- Pastry for single crust (see recipe below)
- 3/4 c. cracked wheat soaked in 1/2 c. hot water, soak till water is absorbed
- 3 Large eggs, well beaten
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. dark corn syrup
- 3 tbsp. soft butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- Stir in softened wheat.
- Bake in unbaked pie crust at 350 degrees for 30 min.
- Tip: May add in 1 Tbsp.
- molasses to light corn syrup to make 1 c. if you do not have dark corn syrup.
