Japanese Asparagus Dengaku
- 4 tsp. white miso
- 1 lb. asparagus, bottom ends trimmed
- 1 Tbs. lemon juice
- 1 Tbs. tahini
- 2 tsp. pure maple syrup
- Preheat broiler to high, and arrange asparagus on rimmed baking sheet.
- Whisk together miso, lemon juice, tahini, and maple syrup in small bowl.
- Spoon or brush miso mixture over asparagus.
- Broil asparagus 5 to 6 minutes, or until tender and speckled brown.
