Bacon-Mushroom Sauce with A.1. Steak Sauce
- 16 slices OSCAR MAYER 18-22 Slice Count Raw Bacon Flat Pak
- 3 qt. fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1-1/3 cups A.1. Original Sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup dry sherry
- 2-1/2 Tbsp. light brown sugar, packed
- Cook bacon in large skillet on medium heat until crisp.
- Remove bacon from skillet, reserving 1/2 cup of the bacon drippings (or 2 Tbsp.
- of the drippings for trial recipe) in skillet.
- Drain bacon on paper towels.
- Meanwhile, add mushrooms to reserved bacon drippings in skillet; saute on medium heat 4 min.
- or until mushrooms are tender.
- Chop bacon.
- Add to skillet along with the steak sauce, beef broth, sherry and brown sugar; stir until well blended.
- Bring to boil on medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 6 to 8 min.
- or until sauce is slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
- Keep warm.
- Serve spooned over cooked steaks and burgers.
