Proper Malted Milk Biscuits

  1. Cream the butter and sugar
  2. Beat in the egg
  3. Add malt and beat together
  4. Add the flour & salt if using and mix into a ball I changed to a spoon half way as mixture was going every where lol.
  5. Put dough in the fridge for 30-60 minutes.
  6. I left mine for 60.
  7. This makes the dough easier to roll out.
  8. 10 minutes before you roll out the dough Pre heat oven to 150 & line a baking tray with greaseproof paper
  9. Roll out the dough to the thickness of a 1 coin and cut out in rectangular shapes or squares,
  10. Place on the tray and bake for 15-20 minutes until edges go lightly brown.
  11. Mine took 18 minutes
  12. Leave to cool a while on the tray before transferring to a cooling rack
  13. Enjoy with a glass of milk or favourite brew.
