Date Toffee Scones
- 3 cups flour
- 13 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 cup butter
- 12 cup yogurt
- 23 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 12 cup pitted dates, chopped
- 12 cup Skor English toffee bit
- Preheat oven to 425F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- Using a pastry cutter or two knives, cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal.
- Add remaining ingredients and stir until just barely moistened.
- Turn out onto a clean surface and knead until dough is smooth.
- Divide dough into two equal parts.
- Shape each part into a 3/4" thick circle; using a sharp knife, score the dough into five wedges.
- Place on prepared baking sheet and bake in preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until light golden brown.
