Cheese Grits
- 3 cups water
- 1 2 cup white grits, not instant
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Heat water to a boil and gradually stir in grits.
- Add salt and reduce heat to low.
- Cook stirring constantly until tender about 10 minutes.
- Grits should be thick and not runny.
- Stir in cheese and serve warm.
