Jalapeno Bacon Mac & Cheese
- 4 cups Pasta (I Used Penne)
- 12 ounces, weight Bacon (use Turkey Bacon If Desired)
- 3 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1 whole Jalapeno Pepper, Diced (seeds Removed If You Don't Like The Heat)
- 1 pint Whipping Cream
- 1 stick Butter, Room Temperature
- 8 ounces, weight Pepper Jack Cheese, Cubed
- 8 ounces, weight Habanero Cheese, Cubed
- 1 Tablespoon Flour
- Cook the pasta according to the directions on the box.
- Drain the pasta and add it into a large bowl or pot.
- Set aside.
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp.
- Then, remove it from the skillet onto a paper towel.
- Drain any excess grease from the skillet.
- Blot the bacon with paper towels and crumble it.
- I like to use turkey bacon since it has less grease and is a bit better for you.
- Add the bacon into the bowl with the pasta.
- Add the garlic and jalapeno pieces into the skillet that you used to cook the bacon.
- Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes then add it into the bowl with the pasta and bacon.
- Pour whipping cream into a small pot and slowly warm it over medium-low heat.
- Add in butter and allow it to melt completely.
- Drop in the cubes of cheese and allow it to slowly melt and stir occasionally.
- Once cheese is melted add flour and stir until it is dissolved.
- Make sure the cheese is completely melted then pour it over the pasta.
- Stir everything together and serve immediately.
- Enjoy this spicy and cheesy dish.
