Shredded Brussels Sprouts with Bacon

  1. In a large nonstick skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp, 4 to 5 minutes; transfer to paper towels to drain.
  2. Discard all but 1 tablespoon rendered fat from skillet.
  3. Add brussels sprouts and the water; season with salt and pepper.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low.
  5. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until sprouts are tender, 20 to 25 minutes (add more water if pan becomes dry).
  6. To serve, crumble bacon over sprouts; drizzle with vinegar, if desired.
