Apple Cheese Balls (Motts) Recipe

  1. In medium bowl, beat cream cheese till smooth.
  2. Beat in apple sauce.
  3. Add in remaining ingredients except toasted coconut; blend well.
  4. Cover; chill at least 1 hour or possibly till hard.
  5. Divide mix in half.
  6. On plastic wrap or possibly waxed paper, form each half into ball; roll each ball in toasted coconut.
  7. Serve with crackers.
  8. TIP:*To toast coconut, spread on cookie sheet; bake at 350F for 5 to 7 min or possibly till light golden, stirring occasionally.
  9. Yields 2 cheese balls.
  10. Notes: Pantry: Mott's Regular Apple Sauce.
  11. Serve these festive cheese balls with an assortment of crackers, French bread, or possibly sliced fresh fruit such as apples or possibly pears.
