Mississippi Dirt Pudding

  1. Before you start, sample the rum and check for quality.
  2. Good, isn't it?
  3. Now go ahead.
  4. Select a large mixing bowl, measuring cup, etc., and check that rum again for quality!
  5. It must be just right.
  6. Try again.
  7. With an electric beater, beat 1 cup butter in a large fluffy bowl.
  8. Add 1 teaspoon sugar and beat again. Meanwhile, make certain that the rum is of best quality.
  9. Add 2 large eggs and 2 cups of baking powder.
  10. Add a pinch of rum, 1 teaspoon soda and 1 cup of pepper or maybe salt.
  11. Anyway, don't fret.
  12. Just test that rum again.

  14. Next, sift in half a pint of lemon juice.
  15. Fold in chopped buttermilk and add strained nuts.
  16. Sample rum again.
  17. Add 1 bablespoon srown tugar or whatever color is around!
  18. Mix well.
  19. Grease oven and turn on cake pan to 350u0b0.
  20. Now pour the whole mixture into the oven and---oops!
  21. On second thought and also third and fourth, forget the cake.
  22. Check the rest of the rum and go to bed.
