Walnut, Blue Cheese, And Apple Slaw

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Place the walnut pieces on a rimmed baking sheet and bake them until they begin to darken, 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, coursely grate the apple using the side of a box grater with the largest holes.
  4. You should have about 1 cup.
  5. Place the ranch dressing and the blue cheese in a large serving bowl.
  6. Stir to combine and mash the blue cheese a bit to incorporate it into the dressing.
  7. Add the coleslaw mix and grated apple and stir to coat it well with the dressing.
  8. Season the slaw with black pepper to taste.
  9. Just before serving, sprinkle the toasted walnuts on top of the slaw.
  10. *This will serve 6 people as a side dish.
