Manhattan Cod Chowder Recipe

  1. Saute/fry bacon till crisp, drain.
  2. Stir onions and celery into drippings; saute/fry till soft.
  3. Stir in potatoes, garlic, thyme, salt, clam juice and water.
  4. Heat to boiling.
  5. Cover.
  6. Simmer 10 min.
  7. Add in cod cubes, cover.
  8. Simmer 5 min.
  9. Stir in tomatoes and heat slowly.
  10. Simmer 5 min.
  11. Top with crisp bacon.
