Bishops Bread Recipe

  1. Combine sugar and Large eggs.
  2. Sift together flour, baking pwdr and salt.
  3. Add in to egg mix.
  4. Stir in dates, cherries, chocolate chips and nuts.
  5. Pour batter into a well greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan.
  6. Bake in slow oven (325 degrees) for 1 1/4 hrs or possibly till cake tester inserted in center of loaf comes out clean.
  7. Cold in pan 10 min; remove to wire rack to complete cooling.
  8. Wrap in foil and let stand overnight before slicing.
