Baked Brie

  1. Even before you begin, youll need to let the sheet of puff pastry thaw on the counter.
  2. Take it out of the packaging, and keep it folded on the counter to thaw.
  3. Itll take about 40 minutes.
  4. If you start to unfold it and it kind of cracks, let it sit a little longer.
  5. You could also use some water or an egg wash to seal up any cracks.
  6. 1.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  8. 2.
  9. Unwrap the brie.
  10. With a knife, remove the outer casing.
  11. You can always leave this on, but I dont really like it ... so I take it off.
  12. 3.
  13. When the casing is off, place the brie in the center of the puff pastry sheet.
  14. 4.
  15. Take each corner of the puff pastry sheet and bring it to the middle of the brie to wrap it.
  16. Seal up the brie as best you can with the sheet.
  17. 5.
  18. Flip it so the folds are facing down and place on a greased cookie sheet.
  19. You dont have to overly grease the sheet; you can use a non-stick cooking spray.
  20. Also, if you prefer, you CAN leave the cheese to bake with the folds facing up, but I didnt do that.
  21. 6.
  22. Bake for 35 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown.
  23. 7.
  24. Transfer it carefully to a plate or a serving platter.
  25. Serve with bagel chips, melba toast, fruit preserves or whatever you please.
  26. Itll definitely be a crowd pleaser!
