candied pecan and strawberry salad
- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 cup whole raw pecans
- 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 4 tbsp aged white balsamic vinegar
- 1 pinch brown sugar
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1 white pepper
- 1 your choice of fresh greens for the bed of salad
- 1 fresh strawberries sliced
- Pre heat oven to 300F
- In a mixing bowl add the egg whites and brown sugar and whisk until even
- Add the pecans and mix until all the pecans are coated completly and evenly
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and layer all the pecans on the sheet
- Bake pecans for about half an hour
- In a serving jar add the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, a pinch of brown sugar, small pinch of sea salt, and freshly cracked white pepper.
- Shake it all up
- Plate the greens add pecans and strawberries and top with dressing
