Wanda's Fruit Cake Recipe

  1. Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Stir in Large eggs and vanilla.
  3. Mix 1 c. flour with fruit and nuts.
  4. Mix remaining flour and salt.
  5. Stir into butter mix, then add in fruit and nuts.
  6. Grease a tube pan, line the bottom with 2 or possibly 3 layers of wax paper.
  7. Place batter in tube pan.
  8. Pour 2 c. water in shallow pan and place it on bottom shelf beneath cake pan.
  9. Bake at 250 degrees for 2 1/2 to 3 hrs.
