Beefsteak Oven Dinner Recipe

  1. Cut steak in thin slices 2-3 inches long and brown in shortening.
  2. Season meat with salt and pepper; add in 1/2 c. water.
  3. Cover and cook slowly for 30 min.
  4. Stir in cabbage, carrots, rice and onion.
  5. Combine celery soup with 1 c. water and soy sauce.
  6. Stir into meat-vegetable mix and place in a 3 qt casserole.
  7. Cover tightly and bake at 350 degrees for 45 min.
  8. Remove cover, top with cheese and continue baking 15 more min.
  9. Makes 10 servings.
