Caramel Pecan Bars
- 18 14 ounces white cake mix
- 34 cup butter, melted
- 3 12 cups pecan halves
- 34 cup butter
- 12 cup liquid honey
- 34 cup brown sugar
- 14 cup whipping cream (35%)
- 1 Crust: Combine cake mix and melted butter, mixing until well blended.
- press firmly into prepared pan.
- Bake 15 minutes or until light golden.
- Cool 5 minutes on a wire rack.

- Topping: Scatter pecans evenly over crust.
- For the most attractive appearance, turn rounded side up.
- In a large heavy saucepan, melt butter and honey.
- Add brown sugar.
- Boil 5 to 7 minutes, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened and a rich caramel color.
- Remove from heat.
- Carefully stir in cream.
- Mix well and pour evenly over pecans.
- Bake 15 minutes longer or just until topping is bubbling around sides of pan.
- Cool completely in pan on a wire rack.
- Cut into bars.
