Honey Walnut Shrimp

  1. Stir together water & sugar in a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil & add walnuts.
  3. Boil for 2 minutes, then drain & place walnuts on a cookie sheet to dry.
  4. Whip egg whites in a medium bowl until foamy.
  5. Stir in mochiko until it has a past consistency.
  6. Heat oil in a heavy deep skilled over medium-high heat.
  7. Dip shrimp into mochiko batter & fry in the hot oil until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  8. Remove with a slotted spoon & drain on paper towels.
  9. In medium serving bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, honey & sweetened condensed milk.
  10. Add shrimp & toss to coat with the sauce.
  11. Sprinkle the candied walnuts on top & serve.
