Basic Barbecue Rub Recipe

• 1/4 c. brown sugar - (packed)
• 1/4 c. sweet paprika
• 3 Tbsp. freshly-grnd black pepper
• 3 Tbsp. coarse salt
• 1 Tbsp. hickory-smoked salt (or possibly more coarse salt)
• 2 tsp garlic pwdr
• 2 tsp onion pwdr
• 2 tsp celery seeds
• 1 tsp grnd red (cayenne) pepper

1. Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl; stir to mix.
2. Store in an airtight jar away from heat or possibly light; it will keep for at least 6 months.
3. This recipe yields 1 c..
4. Yield: 1 c.
