Focaccia with Parmesan

  1. Dissolve the yeast and sugar in 3/4 cup warm water, about 110 F.
  2. Into the yeast mixture add the remaining 1/2 cup warm water, 2 tablespoons.
  3. Oil a large bowl.
  4. Put the dough into the bowl, cover loosely and let rise about 1 hour.
  5. Sprinkle a baking sheet with the cornmeal.
  6. Divide the dough into smaller portions (desired size).
