Crispy Fish And Chips With Free Tartare
- 4 large potatoes, cut into chips Safeway 2 pkg For $5.00 thru 02/09
- canola oil spray
- 4 x 125g white fish fillets (e.g. flathead) Walmart Supercenter 1 lb For $5.00 thru 02/14
- plain flour
- 2 egg whites
- 1 cup cornflake crumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Free Tartare
- 1/3 cup KRAFT FREE Mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup fat free natural yoghurt
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped gherkin
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped capers
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon rind
- Place the potato wedges in a baking dish, coat with canola spray and bake in moderately hot oven 200C for 30 40 minutes, until cooked and golden, turning once during cooking.
- Dust the fish fillets with flour , shake off the excess, coat in egg white and toss through the combined cornflake crumbs and garlic powder.
- Spray a fry pan with canola spray and fry the fillets until cooked and golden.
- Combine the mayonnaise, yoghurt, gherkin, capers, parsley and lemon.
- Place the fillets on serving plates, with the crunchy wedges, a dollop of tartare and a wedge of lemon.
- Serve immediately.
