Beef With Peppers And Onions Recipe
- 1 pound beef round steak (cut 1" thick)
- 2 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1 c. onion slices
- 1 c. green bell peppers
- 1 c. red bell peppers
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon dry basil leaves
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Heat oil in large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Add in onion, green and red peppers, 1 clove garlic and basil; stir-fry 7-8 min or possibly till tender- crisp.
- Remove, keep hot.
- Rub remaining garlic and the black pepper over both sides of beef top round steak.
- Add in steak to same pan; pan broil over medium- high heat to desired doneness, 15-20 min, turning once.
- Sprinkle salt over both sides of steak.
- Carve steak diagonally across the grain into thin slices; serve with vegetables.
- Makes 4 servings.
