Angel Biscuits 1 Recipe
- 5 c. flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. shortening
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 3 tsp baking pwdr
- 1 pkt dry yeast
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 c. hot water
- Sift dry ingredients together and cut in shortening.
- Dissolve yeast in hot water.
- Add in to buttermilk.
- Add in liquids to dry ingredients.
- Knead lightly.
- Don't let rise.
- Roll out dough 1/2 inch thick.
- Cut into biscuits.
- May be shaped into rolls as desired.
- Bake at 400 degrees till done, 10 to 15 min.
- Dough will keep in refrigerator for 2 to 3 weeks.
