Harvest Apple Crisp Pudding Recipe
- 3 c. peeled and cut tart apples
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 pkg. (4 serving size) vanilla instant pudding
- 1 1/2 or possibly 2 c. lowfat milk
- 2/3 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1/2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon grnd cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon grnd nutmeg
- 1/3 c. butter
- Spread apples in 8 or possibly 9 inch pan.
- Sprinkle with lemon juice.
- Prepare the pudding according to package (with 2 c. lowfat milk); set aside.
- In a small bowl, combine sugar, flour, oats and spices.
- Cut in butter till mix is crumbly.
- Pour pudding over apples.
- Sprinkle crumb mix over top.
- Bake 375 degrees for 30 min till top is golden brown.
- Cold slightly, then serve topped with cream or possibly Cold Whip.
